IPM@Hutton members talking about IPM research at the James Hutton Institute with a member fo the public and the 2019 Royal Highland Show

From the 20th to the 23rd of June 2019, the IPM@Hutton group ran a stand at the Royal Highland Show, Ingleston, in the James Hutton Institute marquee. Our members engaged with stakeholder and the wider public, discussing the Integrated Pest, Disease and Weed Management research that the Institute is engaged in.

The wrap-around display highlighted that the IPM research at the Institute covers a wide range of biological scales, from molecular to landscape, and at every scale in-between. Demonstrations showcased individual research areas, including biodiversity and field margin management, potato cyst nematode research, predictive diagnostics and host resistance in potato, cereal tillage research, and soft fruit IPM.

We hope that those who visited the stand got as much from the interactions with our group as we did!
